people do math when they avoid golovkin. that's all.

take the fight nad have my career cut potentially in half because of the beating i take, and need a rebuild? or fight several easy guys for several years and win?

pretty easy call, IMO. i'd take the greater net gain, which is the easier fighst for slightly less or significantly less money, but that allow me to fight for several years as a champion. golovkin's too good for canelo to fight him in spite of the fact that it's he biggest fight that can be made in boxing. again, it's just a matter of doing the math. golovkin's rewaqrd needs to outweight the risk. right now it doesn't and GBP is getting away with match canelo with f#cking welterweights.

the problem is that fans have become complacent with PPV mismatches. thank floyd and manny. they pushed off a fight with each other for years with the same kind of math.

if you buy alvarez - khan, there's no way you can force alvarez - golovkin. alvarez and his people will take the easy fights for decent money for several years over a knockout loss to golokvin and a susequent rebuild any day of the week.

Honestly, people here think money grows on trees.

Would love for the fight to happen though. For sure.

And no way BJS is worth 4M. Thats ridiculous!

For real even as a GGG fan i know there is no way he'll bring in that much money. Really hope BJS doesn't price himself out for long

I get it from Saunders' point of view. He would basically be giving up his belt in a fight against one of the top guys around. Not just that, but a top guy who is likely going to hurt him.

If he's taking that hit, then he wants it to be worth his while financially.
Just like Khan against Canelo. His team knew what was coming..but the money on offer made it worthwhile.

They will have to get together and come to realistic outcome though if they are serious about the fight.
He wants good money, as expected. But an unrealistic purse will put a halt to talks before they have even started.

This all reminds me of the Tyson era being so feared until he was thoroughly out boxed and knocked out by a 42 to 1 underdog. p4p#1? Ummmm, yeah, sure

I don't even think he should be top 10

Unless Warren gets like £5M offer he would never let BJS in there.

me either.....he has the talent but he hasnt faced the necessary competition or taken many risks....wont move up, wont fight anyone from below at a catchweight

2 belts he didnt fight for....the eye test and talent only get you so far...now its time he fights tougher comp.
