I was sad with how they handled this big announcement. They said his next fight will be on NBC....ok, awesome.

But when asked against who he had to say TBA. No one gets excited for TBA. It's unprofessional to not have a name lined up. How do you expect people to care about a fight with no opponent?

It makes PBC look bad and boxing as a whole looked disorganized.

Funny how Errol Spence had 4 fights in 2015, 3 on NBC and 1 on Spike, and already has his second fight of this year lined up. Yet Sammy Vasquez Jr. who is no doubt the more marketable fighter hasn't fought since January and still has no fight lined up. At least put Vasquez on FS1 where nobody will see him, which is what that Ebony piece of s**t Haymon wants.

Sammy Vasquez Jr is a fight away from being the 2nd mandatory challenger to the WBC 147 title, after Amir Khan; with things this close, I doubt that Vasquez or his camp are really looking to risk everything on a nothing fight at this point.

Rumor has it that VasquezJr-Lamont Peterson is being lined up, that fight is big enough to headline a primetime show imo (putting a big payday in VasquezJr's pocket, getting a real name on his fight resume, and actually lining up a fight that is entirely winnable for VasquezJr though a real fight).

I'm not sure where you've been but people were just complaining that Haymon favors Chris Arreola too heavily, Chris isn't black. What's even more strange is despite your allegations, the majority of Haymon's multi-cultural stable seem to like him.

Maybe you're just a disgruntled Vasquez fan but it appears Haymon can do no right around here.

would rather that they go with TBA for continuity between 'PBC on NBC' broadcast than put forward a name (to then possibly have said name try to hold things up over money), giving guy that type of terrestrial press, and the seeing the fight fall through.

Spence should start aiming at the top guys at 147 now because he seems to be too big for the 147 division already...his body looks like its going to outgrow the 147 division within a year or two..I'd go for the top guys now.

I think Spence is willing to fight those top guys at WW but right now he is too big of a risk. He is a rising star but right now a loss to him doesn't make sense without the big payday. Guys like Algeri that don't have too many other options seem to be the guys he can fight right now. I wonder if PBC ever plans to do PPV fights. Its really the only way these guys can step up to bigger money once all these dates Haymon paid for dry up and the networks can choose to not show a fight. I read that the majority of shows don't end up making any money for them. Sucks because Spence looks to be the real deal.

So fighting in an eliminator so that you can become Brook's mandatory and therefore be able to legally force him to fight you is being a coward in your eyes?
