I don't like it because you know without the referee there enabling the pot-shotting, the other guy would be mauling him to death. Pot-shotting implies that between punches, you're doing goofy **** and stalling.
I get that they specifically train to ride the rules of boxing and there's art to it, but it's still not enjoyable to watch.
It's like a soccer player whose expertise he brings to the team is falling over faking injuries. Effective? Yes. Fun to watch? No.
