I thought it was going to be good.

It turned out to be the worst fight I'd seen since Rahman v.s. Barrett.

yea the fight was awful, but i think its 90% Raheem's fault.

From what I've read (I didn't get to see the fight because I'm now in the Philippines and it wasn't carried here), on this and other sites, it seems that the fight was one that can't be candidate of any year's best.

I am now wondering, where shall such a performance land Raheem in the future? Shall any big name still agree to face him? Did he squander in the Popo encounter what he gained from the Morales victory?

Last week there was an article on this site that said the fight last weekend was something that shall help define the Raheem's career path, hereon. The Morales fight was supposed to have given him a running start and a good showing with Popo was supposed to add to the momentum.

Controversy tails the fight (HBO and BoxingScene saw it for Raheem), but the controversy looks to me like the type where fans will throw up at the mere mention of a re-match.

I mean he was landing good punches just a sloppy fight, i would even say he won, cause pop wasnt doing much either. it was a split D. so its a matter of flipping a coin and deciding who won. oh well neither fighter interested me. BRING CASTILLO CORRALES III!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I got that impression from reading posts and that article by DGriesman on the Home Page.

Thanks, buddy! Thanks to vze2... too! And the rest who posted their respective takes on the bout. I doubt if I'll ever get to see it. I don't think any of my friends back home taped it, or, if they did, kept the tape.

I watched it again today. Raheem didnt do **** the first half of the fight for the most part , the judges probably took Raheem's falling all over the place/throwing popo into the ropes, not to mention on the ground on some wwe nonsense, for frustration of not being able to be effective. could have went either way still, because neither were impressive, but after seeing raheem bend down almost to the ground all the time and being so clumsy, I'm almost glad he lost. I think a draw would have been more appropriate.

Freitas vs Raheem gave me a headache

That **** was weak, the commentary was so limited, it seemed liek I was there at the fight...Raheem is weak, with all that holding and bending over and **** and I now wonder why I used to think freitas was the real deal...That was some bull****, that was one of the fights that makes non boxers feel like they coudl step in the ring and do something against a professional fighter...Freitas can go on to get quitted by corraless againand raheem can go back to being an olympic underacheiver...
