  • Comments Thread For: Malignaggi: Klitschko's Time May Have Passed, Fury Wins Again

Former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi, who works as an expert analyst for Showtime, expects Tyson Fury (25-0, 18KOs) to send Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53KOs) into retirement on July 9th at the Manchester Arena.

Key words being the final two spoken, 'We'll see'.

Gotta love Paulie, he wears his heart on his sleeve and speaks his mind. Always being a huge fan, his opinions are always worth noting. Hopefully he's wrong, but as he says Klitschko had a great career and he can retire knowing he'd have been a test for any former great. Time just caught up with Wlad.

    Kudos, Paulie.

      Hopefully he's right.

Klitschko has bored us long enough.

Klitschko is in trouble without his padded ring and pillow gloves he forced Fury to wear....

He's getting stopped late rounds after being broken down

Hope Klitschko knocks this ****** redneck out. Fury is a horrible personality and a disgrace for boxing.

Yep. We need more champs like Wilder and Joshua facing guys like Szpilka, Molina, Martin and Breazeale, the division be more exciting doe. Prolonging mandatories only simply not fighting mandatories at all since picking up titles, drawing exclusively from Al Haymon's roster of boxers.

Hopefully Klitschko can muster the activity from his prime years no matter how many years removed since his peak, we know he has more gears than we saw last year and of what we've seen of Fury the jury is still out. If Klitschko lets his hands go I don't see Fury making it out of the early-mid rounds.

Klitscho was cut to ribbons in the fifth yet looked zero different after 12, he ain't getting busted up by Fists of Fluff or his flailing head butts which caused the initial cut.

He would have been stopped in the 11th without the ref intervention/holding on/turning his back. With proper boxing gloves, and without the above happening, he would have been stopped then for sure.

In this fight, Fury will be wearing his own punchers gloves, he will be able to move better on a proper surface and he will be in better shape/stronger.

I guarantee all of the above will be true. I guarantee Fury will land more in this fight and I guarantee Klitschko will look a lot worse once it's over

                    Nonsense.

Punchers gloves, LMFAO, you are aware Wlad is by far the bigger puncher and this consequently benefits the Ukrainian far more than it does Fists of Fluff, right ?

Your guarantees are based on fiction and myth as are your hopes. I'm genuinely laughing right now, he who laughs last laughs longest. Not long to wait now, of one thing that is certain Wlad can not look any worse in a fight he took 4 rounds already, only question is can Fury fight any differently now he's stepped up to world level and can not coast against guys like Chisora and Abell. If Wlad has enough in the tank it's going to be a long night for Fluff, or more likely an exceptionally short one.

                    Brits huh, they're the best.
