Comments Thread For: Crawford Tabs Mayweather, Roy Jones as Style Influences

Terence Crawford (28-0, 20KOs), who holds the WBO super lightweight championship, will soon be up against his biggest test: undefeated Viktor Postol of Ukraine, which is regularly churning out title contenders. Postol also is 28-0, with 12 knockouts, and owns the WBC title.

I see more Tarver in his style than Jones or Mayweather.

After Postol beats him...people will say he's more like Jeff Lacy..

Crawford has high ring IQ. He doesn't have Floyd/Roy hand-speed, but his ability to fight in either stance is a beautiful thing to watch! He has his hands full, and I wish him luck! I hope this is his last fight @ 140. Time to put on his "big boy" pants and go test 147!

I do as well, in the way that he sort of "freestyles" and grabs oppotunities as they come. He's not a guy who goes in with a rigid gameplan he's going to implement. Rather, he feels out what the opponent is planning to do and capitalizes when the openings come.

I see a little Haggler too, in that he doesn't mind standing and taking a shot in order to give a better one back.

Terence isn't particularly fast with his hands, but his reflexes and responses are incredibly quick. The guy's mind moves fast.

If Crawford beats Postol he deserves to be in the top 2 or 3 P4P in the world.

I don't see Mayweather really either.

                    Maybe some Mosley?
