its alot different with tyson because his unique style involved landing the shots at weird angles and he had a very quick explosive power. unlike a foreman who had a dense kind of power, he would get a great amount of velocity on his hots. if you noticed alot of his ko victims were never ko'd cold, just incapacitated from a shot to the temple.

No. Power isn't only about sheer power, but also hitting on the button with good timing....

quite a few people hit harder than tyson but he was great at catching people without them seeing it coming and he would throw punch after punch afterpunch

of course fighters hit harder, but its hard to say over the years tyson got ****tier but hit harder and harder. he was alot like trinidad, they both had fast explosive 2 hand power but they stood to square to be the hardest ever. lewis, hearns, and i bet if toney who i think is really a 154 pound fighter cuz he wasnt even in shape at 160 are some of the hardest punchers ever

Toney even at 160 was not a huge puncher. He was never more than merely "good" in that respect.

You hit it right on the money. That speed was the kicker.

speed and the sheer fact that people were afraid of him. he was an intimidator because of what he was capable of and did on a regular basis for a while. davarall williamson, williams, the guy tyson got ko'd by that went on to fight vitaly klitschko...he said that the only person that ever hit him harder was klitschko. and come on, these folks that say someone hit harder than tyson are lying. not saying no one did, but can they hit that much harder than iron mike to tell a difference? i don't think so.
