if canelo alvarez makes a new weight class to keep from defending his lineal title against golovkin, mention it. focus on it. it is what is important. you don't do that. you want him to move up so he can lose, and you forget the rest. boxing is a business for everybody else but gennady golovkin, who should move based on where you want him to move, not to try and maximize the earnings of a guy who didnt break into the big time until he was a 30 year old man.


now, once canelo grows a pair and fights, and if golovkin beats him, it's then that you ask them to move up. it's fine to criticize gennady golovkin. he's not perfect, and no fighter is. you're universally labled as a fanboy because of the disproportionate amount of hate you heap on golovkin while conveniently leaving out that he's being ducked by the most popular fighter, and biggest ppv attraction in boxing.


nobody asked marvin hagler to move up. hagler is actually a good comparison for golovkin. both took a while to break into the big time and start earning money. politics kept hagler from getting big fights for years. didn't get his big fights until smaller guys moved up, and he had to be patient while the three biggest earners in boxing were ready to fight for the MW championship.


nobody was asking him to move up to 175 and forget that ray leonard, the biggest fighter in boxing, was at 147 and 154. nobody asked him to leave the hearns and duran fights behind, either. both guys were campaigning at 154 - 160.

if you move up you kiss the big fights goodbye. it's too easy of an excuse for the higher earners to fight a 168 or a 175 lber.

alvarez - golovkin is looking damn hard to make when golovkin is fighting at 160. you think they're going to alvarez in with a 168 lber when they're making a new weight class to keep from fighting a middleweight?

andre ward hasn't come close to doing what golovkin has done in the last 2-3 years. who did he fight last? barrera wasn't even in the top 10. who did he fight before that? paul smith.

you didn't ask "who is ward fighting next?" because you probably ddidn't know how the ocntract worked. ward and kovalev have contracts to fight each other november 19 [i am hopefully going to be there,] but they are taking fights in the interim. if they lose those in fights the contract is goign to be renegotiated, and the fight may not happen. either you ddin't know who ward was fighting next, or you didn't want it to hurt your agenda. ward's going to fight another "tune up." barrera wasn't even in the top 10. paul smith was paul freaking smith .

i love andre ward. he was a player in boxing before golovkin, and he'll outlast him. a dog loves a bone. but your agenda is hysterical. golovkin's equivalent to sergey kovalev won't sign a contract to fight! and the fights he's taken in the past 2-3 years trump what ward has done. yet ward's probably higher on your p4p list, and ward's probably got an excuse for his easy matching. they're tune ups. which is fine.


golovkin's got an excuse for his matchmaking, and it's 2 fold:

1. canelo alvarez and GBP created a new f#Cking weight class to avoid golovkin. they are revolutionizing ducking. it's the biggest story in boxing right now, generating by far the most traffic. it's the new pacquiao - mayweather, except there are no pro alvarez people. instead, since these people udnerstnad that it's foolish to get behind the coward causing all of this, they just take a hardline stance of hatred for golovkin.


they'll tell you all about their hate for golovkin, but they really won't get into why. that's because they don't actually support canelo for ducking golovkin. they just ignore it completely.


i ask you in basically every post that i make regarding your childish posting / threads why you ignore it, but you have no answer. why do you ignore canelo's [cotto's, martinez', quillin's,] ducking and focus instead on golovkin's resume?
