damn 6'2 , 230lbs ??? damn man, i dont recommend trying to bulk up for boxing... because muscles have **** to do with it ....better hit some cardio ...and use little weight and do a **** load of reps ...

i boxed in highschool and i was 5'8- 5'9...145lbs ... never used a weight in my life... just did a lot of push-ups and sit-ups,ran ...and i was cut and strong as hell...

dont really need to bulk up, just make your muscles durable ...very durable ... i would put like 25lbs on a 45lb olympic bar and rep out until you cant do anymore...**** like that but i definitely wouldnt start lifting heavy heavy weights ..because that **** does nothing ...especially if you want to box

.....then all you got to do is train and work hard in training, you don't need weights to get muscles.

you build muscles by training , not lifting heavy weights... i would just run ...do like 500 push-ups, 500 sit ups , a lot of pull-ups...if you cant do it , then work your way up to it ...

heavy weights do nothing but cause joint problems in the future... back in highschool i weighed 145lbs ...now i weigh 200lbs of solid muscle from lifting heavy weights ... BUT now my left wrist is so ****ed up...and i have back aches every once in a while from doing squats with too much weight... so , dont even **** with weights ...do the **** natrual ... get you a speed bag, heavy bag, set up a work out schedule consisting of nothing but pull-ups, push-ups,sit-ups, and running...

you will be good , trust me ...

You can always sell the stuff you bought to someone, that's what I did when I started boxing and realized weights were useless.
