His opponent wasn't poisitive for any PEDs under WADA guidelines. Tested clean, trace of meldonium (within legal limits) detected, fight postponed out of caution, tested clean again.

Wilder's people pretended Povetkin was "dirty" and the "fight was off" when neither of these things was true according to any sanctioning body, testing agency, etc.

He saw a way out of his mandatory and took it.

I agree with you in one regard. The organization should have taken control of the issue right away and provided clear direction/instruction for both camps. Things might have played out differently....
No. 1-5 mg before march and 1 mg after march are considered OK. A meldonium detection is considered a failed test so automatically warrants investigation/delays but it isn't the same as being busted/dirty. That's based on the amount/recentness.

Meldonium was legal and debate raged about whether it was more of a PED than caffiene etc for many years. These are very small amounts considered to be a biproduct of meldonium's tendency to linger in the body for months after injection since the recent ban.

Povetkin's 70 nanogram level was a small fraction of even the strictest limits. So even on his "dirty" test, he wasn't dirty.

On his next test he came up clean, which is expected since 70 nanograms is bordering on the margin-of-error for many blood/urine tests.

If Wilder really wanted the fight to happen then he should have calmed down and waited for the testing to conclude. He was the one who cancelled the fight.

Most of all, it is delayed... not canceled:
Ummmmm the fight is postponed indefinitely. And maybe just maybe the each fighters camp knew the WBC decision before it was publicized on social media. Oh and if everything was okay based on Raybinsky quoted trace amount of meldonium please tell me why the investigation is still open. The WBC loses by this fight NOT happening.

The fight was postponed so that the WBC could investigate the positive test. He didn't test clean. Meldonium is banned, however there are provisions to account for ingestion before Jan 1. 3 clean tests then the positive test my friend. That circumstance is NOT covered, thus the investigation. The fight wasn't postponed because Wilder left and it wasn't rescheduled because the WBC, not Wilder, has decided that Povetkin test situation must be evaluated for potential cheating. The caution you speak of is that Povetkin may be cheating. The investigation was said to take up to two months, thus granting Wilder a voluntary bout. What way out did he take? He literally CAN'T fight Povetkin right now and for all we know Povetkin may get suspended.

You should really research how blood testing works. Clean test, micro detection near margin-of-error, followed by another clean test -- fairly common situation.

Yes the caution was that he may be cheating and had just taken it. That proved to be incorrect. He was clean again the next test. It was a trace remnant from when meldonium was legal. 70 ng of meldonium is so tiny it's like accusing someone of inhaling the steroid fumes from a piece of cheap ground beef. Normal meldonium dosages are 1,000 mg per day and fresh blood detection levels are hundreds of times higher than Povetkin's.

Either Wilder wanted out of the fight and split as soon as he saw an opening, or received some catastrophic misinformation, but greasy ol' DiBella was the one who said quote "fight is OFF, not delayed, OFF!".

            Vigilante for nothing.

Povetkin cheats, WBC cancels fight, but Wilder didn't want the fight? Sheer ******ity even for a lowly, dumb, prison guard like you.

Also, how is testing negative, meaning 0 nanograms, three times then testing positive for any drug a common occurrence? If it were there would be resolution of the issue by now. I will wait for information from someone other than Raybinsky before I form an opinion on whether Povetkin is a cheat.

Never felt wilder had any interest in this fight to begin with.

He's back to his chummy hand picked Al Haymon opponents now.

And people wonder why Haymon cant build stars.
