Come on man, they set him up for the easy cash grab. Passed 3 tests then failed the 4th based on an amount so small, it isn't indicative of residuals left over from usage, it's a complete outlier. That's why they haven't suspended him, made a determination, nor taken away his mandatory status. They are not investigating usage, but rather corruption and tampering.

Or they could have been waiting to see how other sporting organizations dealt with suspensions for other athletes that recently tested positive for use of the substance.

You are gullible, either by choice or by sheer willpower to avoid the very obvious conclusion that a guy who passes three tests and then fails one has been CAUGHT.

They said the amount was so small that it wasn't conducive with the typical testing results of someone who used the drug, which stays in the system for months. Since he already passed tests prior to that date, having an amount so small in one's system isn't indicative of using.

Probably true, but Wilder is under the belief Povetkin cheated. In that sense I don't believe his camp is trying to scam, Wilder doesn't have the obligation to be objective like the governing organization does.

BTW, I don't think Wilder deserves the full purse but he's certainly due financial reimbursement for expenditures associated with training camp, travel, etc.

And again, why was Povetkin taking the substance in the first place? It's not something you would find in a normal sports supplement....

"They said." Who is THEY? It wasn't VADA, nor the WBC. If "they" is the Russian promoter, then yeah, that's what "they" said.
