If you don't think that Peter hits very hard than you'd have to say the same for George Foreman. As in the case with Foreman, the source of Peter's power is heavy force supplied by dense muscle mass and bone structure.
Wladimir power comes from his athleticism and good form. Don't get me wrong, he has heavy hands and great strength, but is not on Peter's level in those areas.
Who's more liable to knock a guy out with one shot? Perhaps Wladimir. However, if were to have them both punch a heavybag equipped with a sensor to record punching power, I think Peter's punches would be significantly more forceful.
Look at the grizzly bear, a creature capable of delivering blows more powerful than any heavyweight boxer who ever lived. A full powered swipe of a grizzly's paw has been proven to be forceful enough to crack a bull's skull open like an egg shell. The reason for this is that the grizzly is of superior bone and muscle density. They don't need technique or proper form because they have ungodly strength due to their dense muscle and bone composition.
Grizzly's can strike each other over and over without deliver a mortal wound, yet when a bull of roughly the same weight is smashed, it perishes instantly. Raw power is not about weight, or even musculature, but bone structure and muscle density. Compared to the average heavyweight, and indeed the average human being of any profession, Peter has incredible muscle and bone density. He is boxing's impersonation of a grizzly bear.
ditto monte barret,,,,shufford...derrick jerfferson etc..
Yeah, but thing was.
In shufford's case....he was cold ****ed, and rose up off the canvas like four times I think. 1 punch put him down in the corner and the ref called it off.
Monte Barrett also went down like six times, and the ref waived it off before the count.
Jefferson also.
So yeah, they were pretty much 1 punch knockouts, after they had already been weakened from combinations.
Peter is the stongest, most powerful HW. Theres really no question about it.
yes,,,I agree as far as pure strength and heaviness of hands go,,,,but were not talking just strength here,,,were talking knockout power and it has more to do with speed, timing, and leverage. In wlads case he has the classic build for a knockout puncher. height 6'6 mass 240+ lbs and very fast hands,,much faster than peter;s and he's only about 10lbs lighter. speed * mass= power and what you dont see is more apt to knock you out whereas peter's punches more or less move you and hurt like hell but dont normally put the lights out on you unless your a class c or below guy. but,,,dont get me wrong,,peter does have good power

the thing with wlad is that his punches are powerful yet they are very quick and accurate. this adds to the momentum of the punch. while i think peter has more raw power, wlad probably uses it the best.
