Dam, Provo is probably just about done then. Really expected him to stop Molina.

Provodnikov looked lethargic in there. I still can't believe that's the same guy that went to Denver and took Alvarado's heart.

Algieri? That was a gift. And I'm an Algieri fan. Manny Pacquiao proved Algieri in no way should have gotten that decision and you know it. A guy gets knocked down, takes a knee for two knockdowns, with a busted up face and eye, yet wins?
I'll tell you what I saw from Molina. He wasn't using height advantage and Ruslan was tagging him with scary power shots straight to the face all night long and then they both gassed round 9 on. Molina had some hints of greatness when fighting off the ropes. Other than that he wasn't doing anything to Ruslan. Meanwhile, Ruslan show much better boxing skill (still piss poor defense) at a distance than we've seen before.
Put it this way. If you think Bradley lost against Ruslan, then Molina just lost against Ruslan for the same reason. If you think Molina clearly schooled Ruslan, then there should be no further debate that Bradley schooled Ruslan for the same reason. You can't have it both ways.
And I just double-checked. Ruslan connected at a higher percentage with his jab and had a higher overall connect percentage, which I what I thought I saw. So the judges basically rewarded Molina's activity, despite him missing more punches in comparison. Ruslan's depressive state at the end doesn't matter - he's mentally wasted.
It's fine to reward aggression and I understand it's subjective but come on man. You can't pat Molina on the back for his jab when he was less effective with the jab overall than Ruslan.Last edited by Combat Talk Radio; 06-12-2016, 10:10 AM.

Provo needs a real trainer.
The guy as fast hands, power, some movement, he could be really exploited with a good trainer.
Last night he looked good in spots, but a little too late.
Props for Molina for coming to fight and letting his hands go.

When Provodnikov got outboxed so badly by Matthysse I pretty much conceded this guy was a club fighter. I thibk Tim had such a hard time because he's so short like Ruslan, and he fought a ****** fight. These taller guys are able to keep Ruslan at the end of their punches and it's over. I would have bet on Molina if I had the chance.Last edited by -Antonio-; 06-12-2016, 01:11 PM.

watch round 11, Provo can jab well and get into range much better using that than the high hands duck and hook strategy! I hate to see this big looping missed hooks, he has very decent pop and Molina had no answer for what was a triple jab in that round, he needs a trainer that can communicate that to him, because with that combi skill plus a chin, he could get in range to start landing that big left hook to finish guys
