Salido is clearly the A-side over Loma

There are way more arguments to make in the A-side/B-side debate than seats sold. Hell I think just cuz Salido has an unsexy double digit L's record he's destined for B side status vs any notable guy he fights.
Its ultimately about who has more to lose with a loss that is the crux of the situation in determining who's the A side. That suggests the real value of a fighter in these A-side discussions even to the point of potential future value vs real proven value in unproven prospect vs proven, but came up short type contender fights.
Having said all that, people get way too consumed with A side **** in fights these days for some reason. Not sure what impact A-side has here or in most fights its mentioned in these days. Its only a topic worth discussing at all really when one side thinks they are the A side & aren't & like I said its fairly easy to determine who's the real A side. Who's got more to lose? Thats the A side.Comment

Definitely
Salido already whooped Loma and with Salido being in the foty last week he definitely has the momentum going.Comment

How can a fighter who lost in the first fight can be the A side in a rematch? If anyone NEEDS a rematch to remove that stain from his resume its Loma not Saldido.Comment

The fight isn't getting made and Arum will come out and say Salido outpriced himself. Then we'll get the fight Bob wanted all along. There are way more arguments to make in the A-side/B-side debate than seats sold. Cuz its not just about winning or losing the fight. To make some an easy example, would Tyson have been the B side somehow in a rematch with Danny Williams if that had happened? F#ck no. A-side/B-side **** is about more than any one factoid you can bring up. Sure winning or losing plays a part, but there are more things at play.
Again absolutely no idea why that matters for this fight at this point.
Maybe. I tend to think this is a fight Loma wants so bad he'll do what it takes to make it happen. And I think Arum was probably surprised with the closeness of the first fight & that a rematch 2.5yrs later goes more Loma's way + its a great fight to enhance the Loma story. I think there are too many reasons to make this rematch & Loma will be willing to take more of a stand, if needed, against Arum to make it happen.
Granted I think Loma's career as a champion has been overall meh thus far & it wouldn't shock me if Arum has more meh in store for boxing fans & that Loma takes a backseat on this ride like so many boxers do. BUT I tend to lean towards that not happening with a Salido rematch. And to clarify I mean meh in the sense of a champions expectations not in the sense that he's a guy with under a dozen fights who is competing at a level few have done in the history of boxing.Comment

Whooped lol he won by one round. Also he was the one who got hurt the worse in that fight not Loma. He landed more clean shots on lomas nuts than anywhere else. He won the fight but whooped lolComment
