Only 1 legitimate comment from a hardcore Golovkin fan in response to what WMjr said. The rest said that WMjr opinion doesn't count because he only lasted 6 rounds or because he chose to retire in the fight. So doesn't that disqualify everyone on this threads opinion since none of us could likely go 12 with Golovkin?

WMjr simply said that Alvarez can have success against Golovkin if he can smother the midrange assault and fight inside. This is why folks want to see Golovkin fight a physically bigger (not just heavier) guy or a guy with A level outside boxing skills. To see if he's more than just a volume power puncher at the B or A fighter level.

LOL

When Abel Sanchez told him in the corner to pretty much stop ****ing around, GGG put the throttle down and started to close in on Monroe played defense and started stalking him like he did in rounds 1 and 2 and what happened? Monroe gets knocked down... He looks up at the clock and see he's got 2 mins left of more punishment because HE REALIZES that GGG got serious again and mouthed out "I'M DONE" .. he quit... ya, he really got to GGG in rounds 3.4.5 that he got knocked the **** out to the point that in front of thousands of people live an millions on tv saw that he quit he didn't want anymore... THAT'S Willie Monroe Jr folks!

thanks for creating a new account to tell us that kenzdawg LMAO

Oscar dictated ALL terms.......even the amount Floyd weighed.

Floyd was contracted to enter the ring at no less than 150lbs.

            Oscar made Floyd gain weight

And that's what the B-side did in order to get his foot in the door to superstardom.

Hopkins was in the SAME position GGG was in when he was in negotiations with Oscar.

He agreed to the CATCHWEIGHT and made the fight he wanted happen.
Hopkins is bigger than GGG and he made the weight...why can't Golovkin?

What is so precious about Saint Gennedy?

He's the B-side..since he's such a tiny MW he should shave the pounds like B-Hop did and MAKE IT HAPPEN.

There are no other big fights for him...that's why Canelo has him by the balls.

Golovkin candrop the weight now when he's kinda' old...or drop it later when he's old as fu.cks.

Golovkin (a teeny tiny MW) let his biggest payday sail away over a few lousy pounds.

That's is not surprising behavior for a guy that stayed in the amateurs until he was dragged away kicking and screaming.

That's not surprising behavior for a guy that demanded a catchweight against a bigger fighter when was in Canelo's shoes.
            Another one on GBP payroll...

To be honest i think it would be a great fight. Canelo would come in with more power and maybe less speed if it is at 160 since he doesn't have to dehydrate himself down as much. We know that Canelo has power at 155 so he will probably have more at 160. But does he hit harder than Lemeuix or Stevens? Who knows. Golovkin on the other hand has Power we know this. but his hand speed is highly underrated (Check the Hook that floored Macklin or the Right Hand that floored Geale (while taking a shot by the way))

Would be interesting because for the first time Canelo will be facing a guy who could actually hurt him so he wont be walking through anything. Golovkin has experience fighting guys that can throw bombs so that is one advantage that Golovkin has. Anothe advantage is that most of the guys Golovkin has fought have been around the Same weight as him on fight night.

What is most interesting is that we will probably see both guys fight a lot differently than we have seen to date.

But head and heart both still say that Golovkin would win.

You're that joker who was quoted saying Golovkin was scared to fight Lemieux, then months later after he easily beats Lemieux you criticized Golovkin for taking easy fights. Step back on that ledge and make your jump.
