Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Lashes Out at Eddie Hearn Over Fights Not Made

BRITISH boxing fans want to see the biggest domestic fights out there. WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan should be fighting WBA title holder Anthony Crolla in a huge Manchester clash.

Warren is very much struggling to secure big fights for his fighters.

Hearn is a d!ck, but I understand why he is leaving Warren out, especially when they aren't the great fights that Frank Warren is trying to suggest they are.

I love how he uses the entire article to rage at Hearn and then throws in a brief plug for a fight his channel are showing tonight.

Put a sock in it Warren. It must gall you to be a distant number two in the UK promotional stakes, but have you noticed that number one doesn't demean himself by bothering to respond? And, by the way, Flanagan might or might not be better than Crolla, but he has nowhere near the profile or status, so Crolla would be underselling himself to agree to a 50-50 purse and promotional deal.

It doesn't have to be a "great fight" to get made. It should be made based on it being the best possible fight regards money. In that respect Crolla - Flanagan is the best fight for either boxer. Who else are they going to fight for better money? Neither are elite world class imo so the fight should be made now while they both have a world belt.

I don't see Brook - Smith in the same way. Brook has a unification coming up and should he win there are further unification fights available to him [porter/thurman/garcia] that will bring him more legacy and more money than a Smith fight. Even a fight with Khan would still bring more money than a Smith fight.

Crolla Vs Flannagan is a no brainer IMO. 2 Manchester fighters in a unification fight, in Manchester stadium. It's a big footy city, and from a footy perspective..ones a red and ones a blue. It sells.

Smith Vs Brook though, meh, not one for me.
