ya u could tell how much tyson felt of ali in his life. like something as simple as floyd saying he thought he was best ever he took as a direct insult to ali and got him very emotional.

A pallbearer for Cus and now again for Muhammad. It must be so difficult for Mike to see perhaps his 2 biggest influences in life pass away

I remember during an interview Tyson saying that he could never beat Ali. Maybe it was out of respect or maybe because he truly felt he couldn't, but it goes to show you how much Tyson loved and respected the great one Ali.

He's didn't do jack shyt for 7 years besides implement a healthcare system that's crumbling. Why would he bother to start now?

Back to subject, Tyson seems to get REALLY worked up about stuff these days. I don't know if he got a publicist to do his social media now but back when I was following him it was a real horror show sometimes.

You guys are scrutinizing *****, yet some of his comments are the most eloquent among the outpouring. "A person who for African Americans, I think, liberated their minds in recognizing that they could be proud of who they were". That reminds me of Jerry Izenberg's anecdote of asking some black fellow why he was betting for Ali against Holmes, and he said "because he gave me my dignity".

Think whatever you will of his (and what I also think are) horrendous policies, but ***** is a master politic. As smooth as they come. I think you guys are giving him unnecessary flak here for, at least one time for me, being very poignant.

And you have to love Tyson. He said he tried to hurt Berbick in retaliation for Ali, and you can't help but admire that.

I think everyone's reaction to who deeply idolized Ali is the more/less same right now -- everybody knew this was coming, but damn this really hurts. So cliche, but that man really was the Greatest.
