they are not even gonna see that much.

by the time all the deductions are over, they all will get half that.

Well this was always going to be the drawback of thrusting him right into the top level- he can handle himself, but at some point he would go back to fighting no-names and might fall off the radar for a while.

Good thing there are plenty of possible matchups for him to make his mark. Lomachenko's career is more interesting to me now that there are some more players in the ix

He will never be a crossover star. He does not speak english, is not a knockout puncher. He is fun to watch though for diehards as he does some cool slick combo punching. The only thing I dont like is he takes too much time off during rounds.

What's wrong with not being a crossover star? I'd argue the only crossover stars of the last 20 years are Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Oscar. Canelo is only crossover for the Hispanic community. JMM, Bradley, Gatti, Salido, Cotto, Mosley and so many other guys had great careers and made good money but weren't crossover stars. It's not like Lomo isn't making good money.

Great takes time and set backs don't help. Loma called Salido out. Salido was supposed to be the path of least resistance. He was the oldest, the most beat (12 losses) and the least touted champion at the time. That loss hurt him bad and beating Salido now won't help, Salido is older and more worn than before. That's not enough for greatness and Martinez is a 2x4 in constructing greatness. Great amateur with almost 400 fights, OK. Great pro with only 8 fights?

              Why are people complaining?
Arum is his promoter and his job is to promote Loma.
I'm OK with Loma not being a crossover star and I never expected him to be one. If he can have a good career and make some good money for his family that's all he needs.
The Majority of fighters will never be crossover stars. Fighters in the heavier weights have a better chance to, it's not always the case, but they have a better chance. That's why I've been saying that Anthony Joshua is the only one that can be a huge star of the current boxers coming up. Crossover star is something that 99% of boxers will never be.
The good thing for Loma is that he has some good names right now and for the future that will allow him to be in big fights, not Super fights, but big fights. I mean just look at the 126 and 130 divisions. Those divisions have a lot of names and good match-ups to be made. Loma won't have to worry about fighting big names, they're already there for him at 126 and 130. Promoters just need to start making the fights happen.

Rigo had the chance to prove he was better and he didn't take the opportunity. He talked and talked and nothing. He was the one challenging Loma and then when Loma finally replied he wanted Loma to be the one to make all of the sacrifices to make the fight. Loma was willing to make some of course.
Loma surpassed Rigo as an amateur (more accomplished and more consistent) and he will also have a better pro career.
Loma is one of the nicest boxers, but people will always have this dislike of him, for obvious reasons, so why not play the villain role a little?

Very true. He has got the CV to become one but that would require a lot of work. If he's going to be fighting in America he could do with a few English lessons and a run on the media circuit e.g. Late night chat shows etc.

He never called out Salido. The WBO was the only belt willing to give him a title shot with two fights and Salido happened to be the WBO champion.
Salido was probably the toughest champion Loma could have fought in his second pro bout. Amateur boxing is totally different from how that fight was officiated.
In amateur boxing they warn you for any little thing, while in that Salido fight they allowed Salido to get away with everything. That's one of many differences.
