  • Comments Thread For: Eubank Jr: Saunders Will NOT Fight Golovkin, He Wants Easy Money

WBC/WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight world champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) is currently in talks to face Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in the fall. If that fight fall through for 2016, and many expect it will, the frontrunner for Golovkin is WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders.

BJS doesn't want the fight unless he gets buckets loads of money, and i don't blame him. He can hold the belt hostage and defend it against mandatories and make money that way in England. If he wants to enhance his legacy then he would do what Lem did and fight GGG but i don't see that happening.

People dont care much about the 0. They care about exciting and competitive fights. Tyson, Chavez, Ali, Pacman, De La Hoya, Duran, SRL had lost on their records and people still watch them as long as the fights were seem as competitive. Porter has a L on the record but I bet most boxing fans cant wait for Thurman vs Porter. Vargas Vs Salido is a great example that fans dont care about the 0.

          State of Boxing (154-168).

Haters say nobody knows who GGG is, but in and around MW, GGG name is known by fighters.

Strange, when people have fights coming up, suddenly they know who GGG is.

          Floyd -- GGG is easy work. But I can't make 160, so I won't fight. Umm, what's 160 matter if he's easy.

          Andrade--I'll fight GGG when he's 40

          Canelo- I'll fight GGG when he's 42

Lara - I'll fight GGG for millions more than I'll be worth, or in other words, no way.

Ward -- I wanted to fight GGG, see my emails. Wait I'm not showing you them. I promise, I wanted him, just wanted him to first wait a year or so and give me an even split in the mean time. But I really really wanted to fight GGG.

Suanders -- GGG wants to fight you, what do you say. Suandrs "No." Ok, GGG is gonna have to fight Wade then. They signed the right Suanders, "I'll fight GGG."

Eubanks, I'll fight GGG. But first let me fight in the olympics. Are you kidding me.

Jacobs -- I want GGG. Wink, tells his team to hurry up and sign Mora. Umm, what.

Anyone else, oh yea, Charlo - please let me make this 154, please let me make 154. Yes, I made it. I'm not going to be a good boy.

Only guy who seems remotely serious is a LHW fighting at SMW. Zurdo.

He did. And he also turned down a rematch with Saunders for huge money and world title shot to go fight for the British title for a small purse.

Look at Eubanks resume and next opponent and then decide who is the prizefighter between these two.

I get it Chris i really do, your trying to promote your fight vs weak opposition, and being the brash young pretender and all that, but really.
you can talk as much smack to BJS, but he beat your ass, so it looks kind of embarrassing at this point. Why didnt you sign the rematch with him if your so confident? forget GGG, you wouldn't sign for the second best with a much bigger purse.

Having said this, i would like to see BJS vs GGG if they can get it done, but it dosnt look like Chris is trying to make that fight either if hes goading Bj to make it first.
