            A joke.

People are okay with 8oz of weed but not .07mm of meldonium.

Weed isn't a performance enhancing drug.

Stoned marathon runners may seem like walking contradictions, but there are hints the drug and long-distance running could go hand-in-hand

In her Wall Street Journal interview, Jenn Shelton said she never consumed marijuana during competition, because she believed it did enhance performance. It’s not inconceivable that if the human brain’s endocannabinoid system regulates fatigue, that an artificial stimulation of this system with marijuana could further reduce both physical and mental exhaustion, thereby bringing it ever closer to the designation of a performance enhancing drug.

The World Anti-Doping Agency declined to be interviewed for this story, but said in a statement that in 2013 they raised the levels of acceptable marijuana in an athlete’s system so that out-of-competition use would not disqualify them. Yet any use just before a sporting event remains prohibited.
                So let's analyze that.

Weed reduces physical and mental exhaustion.

Meldonium reduces physical and mental exhaustion.

One is a PED and one is not, huh?

Weed also mellows you out and slows you down. Not really the same thing at all.

So does eating food, dude. Your argument is null and void.

The bottom line is, the current testing scene is a joke. Either make weed a PED or retroactively remove meldonium and delete positive tests for it. They have the same advantage.

Frankly I'd rather see weed be tagged as a PED.
