The American HW champ of the world cant even sell out a small arena in his own city! Id hardly call him a megastar. Deal with that.LMaooo at all the salty comments from the UK fans. What is so funny is that I was arguing with one of you a few days ago about UK boxers coming to America. He said Anthony Joshua doesnt want to fight in America lol...This is where the megastars are born deal with it.
Im trying to think the last time 2 American fighters sold out vegas? De La Hoya v Mayweather? Im sorry but your living in the past.Comment

Where Did I call Wilder a megastar?? Mayweather Cotto Mayweather Mosley Mayweather Ortiz... Thurman Porter next.. Theres your American fighters who sold out Vegas... Degale left and Joshua is next.. It's a different type of stardom in America.. Degale sounded like he doesn't want to come back in that fighthype interview. Khan doesn't even claim the UK and never fights there... And Tyson Fury said he fights for Ireland lmao that tells me everything I need to know.. Ali, Mayweather, Joe Louis , Archie Moore Leonard, Robinson all American greatness. The only fighter y'all got in that discussion is Lennox Lewis and he's Jamaican lolComment

Of course they will send him to America, if he wants to be a worldwide star he'll have to go there. Yes he makes more money and sells out bigger events in the UK, but they will want to capture the USA TV audience at least. USA is quite an insular place i think, like many places are, they don't care that much what goes on outside of their country. If you want to gain a good fanbase there, you'll have to fight there
Apparently he was offered TV deals by both Showtime and HBO. I'd imagine within those deals, they will want him to fight sometimes in the USA during prime time hours, not afternoon shows because of time difference from the UK.
If he continues to fight 3 times a year, i could see him doing 2 in UK and 1 in USA. Yeah he might make more doing 3 fights in the UK initially, but if they want to be big outside of the UK too, then they might have to take a pay cut sometimes just widen their audience and hope it eventually pays off.Comment
