Why do goofballs on here always pretend they know what type of negotiations are going on behind the scenes??
Very little of that makes it to the media and much of the time, that's not even accurate because the two teams give conflicting stories. Team ggg know Lara wants the fight, don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise.
Where does most of the news/information regarding Canelo/GGG potential fight come from? It ain't from Canelo or GGG-- it comes almost 100% from Tom Loeffler and Oscar de la Hoya. Which makes sense since they're the promoters of the respective fighters and it's their job to get the fight sealed and delivered.
When May/ Pac were in negotiations---Huge majority of any news of negotiations came from Arum/ Espinoza/ Ellerbe
Crawford/ Postol- Primary source of negotiations or any news regarding their matchup came from Arum and each of their respective managers.
As you can see, how accurate or reliable the information is depends is irrelevant- The key point is that there was constant news and evidence that negotiations were taking place and underway. There were comments from promoters from both sides regarding the fight details and status.
In Lara/ GGG-- There are zero reports of actual negotiations or news that Haymon is talking to Tom Loeffler about making this fight happen. Hard to have conflicting stories about negotiations when there is none taking place.
I'm sure team GGG knows that Lara 'wants' the fight- just like how Andrade, Eubanks, Ramirez, Saunders and Degale 'want' the fight as well.
The fact that Eubanks promoter (Hearn), Ramirez's promoter (Arum) and Saunders promoter (Warren) have publicly addressed that they have been discussing a fight with Tom Loeffler shows that there is a chance of these fights happening.Last edited by Brakus; 06-09-2016, 12:55 AM.Comment

Actually goofball, reality check- news of negotiations does make it to the media. A lot of news in fact.
