Agreed, Eubank needs another 2-3 high level fight experiences and he'd be a much more dangerous opponent for Golovkin.

But if the fight happens this September, I'll argue that even this version of Eubank is probably the toughest fight Golovkin could take at 160lbs.

At the same time, BJS started his training camp down in Spain. It should be noted, BJS hasn't fought since winning the title last December. The WBO states that you must defend the title every 9 months or you'll be mandated. Khurtsidze is the WBO #1. So Saunders could decide to fight Khurtsidze then go after the winner of Golovkin/Eubank which would be worth alot more money for him.

Eubank jr is definitely NOT ready, if he takes the fight then I applaud him but there is NO way Hearn would put Eubank jr in there with GGG at this point, they would talk the talk but wait another 2/3 years before the fight actually happens... Saw that with Ricky Hatton, talked about fighting Tyszu under warren around 2001 and fight happened in 2005... Not blaming Hatton here doe

Honestly with the way things are looking it might be most benefical to just sit out & play the Canelo game for a lil longer as unproductive as thats likely to be. Unless there is some notable guy who's willing to fight him for September which I'm not sure there is.

I don't personally see much point in fighting another bs guy. GGG was just the scary guy no one wanted to fight before Canelo gave him his belt. Now GGG is The Man legitimately. He's already been criticized for his opponents by some of the haters, but now that he's The Man in the division he's gonna start being criticized more by everyone for bs fights regardless of the whys so they need to work on making his fights count more than they have at certain points in the past.

I definitely feels like GGG overvalues having all the belts like Klitschko did so his resume is gonna suck cuz he's gonna be having some bs ass mandatories shot his way on the regular now.

Hey, I'm all for letting the fighters come into their own, but can we please stop pretending that Eubank Jr is some 22 year old greenhorn? The kid's almost 27 years old. He's in his physical prime.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with Golovkin (or anyone else) fighting Eubank.

160: Lara, Khurtsidze, Heiland, N'Dam, Eubank
168: Chudinov, Groves, Chavez Jr, Medina, Uzcategui

His age is a big issue. If you believe the hype, the guy is in his prime right now. Sitting does not make him money and headlining against bums pays the bills, and builds his hype. Sitting does not help.

He should fight someone out of his comfort zone, at 168 or 154, maybe travel overseas. As long as he continues to restrict his self nothing will happen.

Nowhere near ready. After his loss to Saunders he fought O'sullivan, Blackwell, and now Doran. He also gave up his opportunity for a world title to fight for a british title. He went from world level opponents when he fought Saunders to domestic level punching bags.

I don't see anything of interest for September do you? Thats the problem I'm having. It makes more sense to me to wait for Canelo to say nah a second time than to plan a bs fight for Sept. that no one will care about & then Canelo comes out in early July to say he's ready to fight GGG now, but since GGG already has a fight then blah blah blah hello Liam Smith or whoever lol. Thats all I'm saying. They can make a bs fight anytime they want. But if they wait a lil maybe Canelo sees the error of his ways. Maybe Ramirez looks enticing at 168. Maybe BJS mans up. Maybe more things happen that will be better for GGG. Mainly I just know there is no need to rush towards bs fights right now when the bs fight will be there today, a month from now & 3 months from now.
