Comments Thread For: Bellew's Coach Confident: David Haye May Not Be The Same Guy

Dave Coldwell, trainer of WBC cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew (27-2-1, 17KOs), is confident his fighter will do very well against former two-division champion David Haye (28-2, 26KOs).

Let pencil neck Bellew fight Huck or Enzo Macaroni first

Bellew is a fringe fighter of limited skill not worthy of a title belt. Let wire neck Bellew fight Huck or Enzo or even Glowicki first. Haye is way out of Bellews league. Bellew is more a clown anyway not that good.

Just another example of an oblivious trainer with beer goggles on!

I hope that Bellew takes his head off. He's better for the sport.

Tony is a warrior who will fight anyone, Haye is anything but.

Coldwell has to be the most overrated trainer in the UK. What fighters has he taken from scratch and turned into champions?

Bellew fights no different now than how he used to. Coldwell used to carry the spit-bucket for Haye, he was never a respected trainer.

Haye-Bellew is an utter mismatch. It also shows how daft Coldwell is when he talks about the bloody Lolenga Mock fight. That fight was like 12 or 13 years ago, when Haye was a skinny cruiserweight and a novice. He's a HW now and he's taken far bigger punches since then without budging. That fight is basically irrelevant at this point.

Mormeck dropped Haye, but again, that was nearly a decade ago when Haye was at cruiser. He's looked solid at HW.

It's unlikely Bellew would even lay a glove on Haye, TBH. Not quick enough or sharp enough. Too flat-footed. Haye's sniper-like style is way beyond the level of a Tony Bellew. The loudmouth gets put to sleep in two rounds MAX.

The same guy that got sparked out at 175 thinks the same thing won't happen at the hands of Haye?

if bellew was 10% as good as what he thinks he is, he knows he cant beat drozd or lebedev so he's looking to cash out.
