4 years ago? I think their willingness to fight the much better Froch at full 168 is more of a clue

In 2013 when Abel was saying the same thing. GGG will fight, AND BEAT, anyone from 154-168. Around the time that Loeffler gave HBO that list he's always talking about. The list of opponent's GGG is willing to face. The list he said Ward's name was on. Well Rodriguez name was also on that list & Rodriguez agreed to fight. So they sent him a contract to fight at 164, not 168 like they were saying in public. Not only 164 but also a 10lb rehydration clause. Those clauses that everyone claims to hate.

Loeffler explained their willingness to fight Froch at 168. Because of the money. Rodriguez didn't go to them looking for a fight. They put his name on the list. Their willingness to fight Froch at the full 168 but Rodriguez at 164 with a 10lb rehydration clause shows GGG, like Khan, is willing to Wh0re himself out to the highest bidder. They'll accept a loss on an even playing field for the right price.

Khan vs Canelo is nothing like Ggg vs Froch. Ggg was the bookies favorite and according to most Ggg haters here, Froch was a cherry pick lol. There you go again showing off your lack of common sense

Maybe you aren't understanding what I'm saying. GGG and his team gave HBO a list of fighters they'd be willing to fight from 154-168. Rodriguez name was on that list. The contract sent to him said "About that 168 thing, we were just kidding. Here's 164 & you can't weigh more that 174 next day." With Froch they went with their hat in their hands begging for a payday. No 164. No 10lb rehydration. And all because of the money
Loeffler has said in the past and will tell you now. They wanted the Froch fight for a big payday. A loss to Froch, who at the time was probably the best 168, wouldn't hurt GGG and he'd get paid well. A loss to Rodriguez at 168 in 2013 & we wouldn't be talking about GGG being top 2 P4P today and the most feared man in boxing. It's risk vs reward. GGG is a business man first, boxer second. Just like Floyd & Canelo. The only difference is that they've taken tough fights and given up concessions for a shot at greatness. GGG is the greatest fighter of all time when it comes to mythical matchups. He'll beat everybody on paper but won't get in the ring to prove it

          • In that case, move up and fight Ward in July at 175. Ward doesn't have an opponent yet. He can be the tune up for Ward before he fights Kovalev.

Even easier to say when the ones you think can beat GGG are scared to death to fight him!

It's really simple. If it's on him to make a full weight concession, the other guy better make it worthwhile, like Froch who's way better than Edwin.

Perhaps negotiations aren't going their way and they are willing to fight at 154....that would be huge for canelo....evens the playing field in my opinion.

Or he simply f'ed up and said something ****** because the next logiCal question is, then why not canelo at 154 if u want the big money/fame fight.
Because Canelo won't fight him at any weight! You've been livin' under a rock?

Ok. So it's really just all talk. Abel doesn't believe GGG can beat any fighter from 154-168. The one actual time they could've proved it they balked & said 164 with a 10lb rehydration. Abel should say "GGG will attempt to beat anybody 154-168 for the right price."

I dunno how you draw that conclusion but whatever gets you to sleep at night. I still don't understand your position on Froch, first you said they were selling out like Khan, then you backtracked to some undetermined position.
