      I just saw the Ali & Frazier clip on **** Cavett before their 2nd fight and also the Ali's "this is your life".

      Man, Frazier was a fine man. And you could see how Ali respected him more than maybe any other opponent he had.

      And Frazier talked back.

        And although Gumble acknowledge on air it was wrong and a harsh piece I don't think he ever officially apologized to Joe or the Frazier family.
        I think Gumble was extremely pro Ali by all accounts.

        But it actually all boils down to the fact that Frazier was a lot of things Ali really respected. As we came to know later on.
