His corner let him down. They should never put their fighter in position to quit. I've seen somethings similar. Usually the ref will tell the fighter he's giving him one more chance and when things get hectic the fighter will look at the ref to stop the fight (Lemieux-GGG) But his corner shouldn't have put him in that position. Mike Alvarado vs Provodnikov was similar. His corner let him quit while the ref was asking if he wanted to continue in the corner. His corner should've answered the ref.
