A "real American" is someone who is treated as an equal, given the same opportunities as anyone else and is not turned down for trying to make a living because he is Black! A real American should only feel obligated defend a country that is willing to treat him like ONE OF THEM instead of some UNWANTED TRASH!!!! This country FAILED MISERABLY on a promise that was made that INCLUDED Black people! So don't give me that crap about what REAL AMERICANS do or did back in the 60's and early 70's because it sure as *** didn't include treating Black people as the worthy human beings they are! If Clay/Ali had heard that fighter ships and planes were headed toward America and his and everyone's families were at risk of losing their lives, he damn sure well would have picked up arms and fought against the enemy! That is different than Vietnam! Vietname was WRONG!

im surprised to see nothing about the cleveland "big cat" williams fight, this display was probably the most one sided demolition of an at the time world class opponent, in my mind this was the fight that truly showed how fluent this man was with his genius inside the ring.
speed, agility, range, power were all evident in what was the fight that will remain in my head forever.....especially the double dose of his amazing "ali shuffle", pure magic.Comment

It is not hard to distinguish who the real americans are in the USA. Look around as it is clear who matters and who does not matter in the USA. Clay was no hero and should have been sent to prison or exiled. The heroes in America are those kids who died defending the USA in wars. get a grip or leave. the door is open.Last edited by richardt; 06-05-2016, 11:22 AM.Comment

His biggest win = Foreman, right?
Foreman was an undefeated KO machine 40–0 (37 KOs) and had destroyed both Frazier and Ken Norton leading up to that fight. Ali was a huge underdog and nobody really gave him a chance and people thought he was going to get killed.
I was born in 1988 so I was not around when Ali was a fighter but is anyone old enough to remember that fight? I can imagine watching Ali knock out the unstoppable Foreman like that in the 8th round must've been amazing.
