Man, who else has two wins on their record where he was an underdog to the point of people fearing for his life? And Ali won both by stoppage. Unbelievable.

No to rain on your parade cause I 100% respect ALI, but pacquaio vs Oscar and Margarito.

The first Liston win was the finest performance. The public gave him no chance but people who knew boxing predicted the upset. I would mention his Archie Moore win too, which isn't on this list for the article.

Pacquiao was a favorite to beat Margarito

A true legend. One can argue if he was the greatest heavyweight, as Ken Norton had his number in 3 fights, regardless of the judge's scoring, but I think he was the most talented heavyweight ever, and certainly the slickest mover. He gave up a few of his prime boxing years to stand up for his rights. He and Foreman and the like would easily have broken the pay-per-view record of Mayweather and Pacquaio today.

Feel Sorry for Clay Ali and pity the suffering but no idol at all

Clay refused to fight for America and joined the ******s who hated the USA. Clay was no hero and Clay was no idol to be worshiped and respected. Granted Clay/Ali was a great boxer and colorful but any man who won't fight for his country is not much of a man. The legends are those who died fighting for America and defending it. The wounded warriors from all of our wars are the heroes. Clay was just a guy filled with hate for America. Much better men died for America and still are defending the USA. Those are the heroes and deserve our respect. Clay gets my pity. I hated Clay Ali and what Clay represented. God Bless America just pity Clay/Ali.

EVERYONE on the planet knows the Vietnam war was wrong! Even one of the original architects of the war admits that. Clay (Ali) was right in going against it. I am pretty damn certain if fighter planes and tanks were headed to attack America, he would be on the front line fighting that war.

His biggest win = Foreman, right?

Foreman was an undefeated KO machine 40–0 (37 KOs) and had destroyed both Frazier and Ken Norton leading up to that fight. Ali was a huge underdog and nobody really gave him a chance and people thought he was going to get killed.

I was born in 1988 so I was not around when Ali was a fighter but is anyone old enough to remember that fight? I can imagine watching Ali knock out the unstoppable Foreman like that in the 8th round must've been amazing.

Real Americans defend America not refuse to fight for their country. Clay should have been exiled and thrown out of America. Clay was no hero but more a zero. Clay was hated by most true Americans.
