Very smart move by Byrd, Byrd will be lighter and at his natural weight so expect him to be quicker than he is, atleast he wont have to face a guy twice as big as him now, he will fight guys his size and weight and look good, i think byrd will have decent power in cruser/light heavy

I give props to byrd for fighting big guys in his career but i think its a smart choice for him to fight at cruiserweight, the 200 lb limit we might see a faster more slick byrd with some power

o'neil Bell the fight i saw with rothman, bell was getting his ass kicked for all the fight until he knocked him out so i dont know it depends on if Byrd uses his great defense and handspeed.

this is good. now he'll start robbing CWs instead of HWs. one less thief in the HW division is a step in the right direction.

Good move for Byrd. It's been a long time coming but finally he realizes what is best for him.He is making the move at the right time the division is hotter than ever. With fighters like Bell, Braithwaite, Mormeck, Brown, and Hill the division is loaded with talent. The fights at cw have been exciteing as well Braithwaite-Mormeck and Bell-Mormeck just to name a couple.A fight with Virgil Hill who just won the vacant WBA Championship a short time ago would be his best option imo.Hill isn't a big puncher and is a boxer so he wouldn't put too much pressure on Byrd.It might be a boring fight but it's the best fight for Byrd imo coming off of his brutal loss to Klitschko.

Don't u think O'nell Bell will have somethink to say about that?
only reason he has left HW is because he can't cope in that division, I can see O'nell Bell knocking him all over the place myself!

I think it's the only move Byrd has left, but there are a few that will give him trouble...mainly Mormeck, Bell and also Dale Brown (who I thought actually won against Bell...this is some screwed up scoring : Judge: Richard Green 111-117 | Judge: Robert Hoyle 112-116 | Judge: Michael Pernick 113-115 ~)
It'll be interesting to see what this does to the division.
