Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) secretary Iqbal Hussain has said that British boxer of Pakistan-origin Amir Khan is a Pakistani hero and they will be happy if he is allowed to fight under Pakistan's flag at this summer's Olympics at Rio, Brazil.
This is a really good move for him he is not going to get knocked out and he ban for 2 years by WBC in that time Garcia would have lost and so would Brook. He can then look for another paper champion to beat, refreshed from the beating against Canelo

Firstly the British Boxing Board of Control have said they are against the selection of Pro's and specifically mentioned Khan. They have already selected 10 boxers. So he won't be able to represent GB
Now for Pakistan, if Khan fights at Rio, he will be suspended for 2 years by the WBC.
There is no chance he is going, he only said it because he's over there opening up some gym and was asked a question during a conference, and sold them a soundbite.
Khan is a good salesman, but he 100% has no intentions of going to Rio. Khan needs to think before he speaks because every word that comes out of his mouth seems to become headline news
Every governing body + commissions should instantly ban world class fighters permanently if they go.
It's not happening, it's just another comment from khan without thinking, he was also in Pakistan at the time so probably said it to please the audience to some extent.
But this poorly considered remark still gets people excited, just ignore it.
Certainly speaking truth in that statement ...I don't think I've ever detested a boxer more than Khan
