Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Not Ruling Out a Continued Run at Featherweight

Make no mistake, Vasyl Lomachenko is giving Roman Rocky' Martinez his undivided attention ahead of their June 11 title fight at Madison Square Garden Theatre in New York City. However, the two-time Olympic Gold medalist and reigning featherweight beltholder will be met with an interesting dilemma with a win in their HBO-televised super featherweight title fight.

Good to see he has credible opposition. Salido II is the one I would push for right now..

I like the fact that he's chasing the decent opposition rather than worrying about hanging onto a trinket belt. His priorities are in the right place. He is to be commended.

I love his attitude. This man truly wants to fight the best options. Rigorous I admit would have been too much too soon but other than that I like how he has been willing to face anyone thus far even though he has the right as a prospect pro to fight lower opposition for 10 - 15 fights. I don't know if he will burn himself out early though. The early stiff competition will either make him hard as nails from the experience or tired and broken-down from it.

Really good point there from the opposition standpoint. He's young enough to go hard. If he wins next Saturday and is able to unify with either Salido or Vargas, he should make a few defenses against top ten contenders of both sanctioning bodies and then go after another unification. I'd love to see Loma vs Pedraza.

Just fight. Guy has some serious skills. I love the demeanor he displays in and out of the ring.
