OK this is good - I don't think Chudinov's any kind of elite but he certainly belongs in the mix at the top end of 168. Hopefully Sturm will also finally disappear up his own ******* - shame, he was once a quality fighter but his legacy will forever be tainted by the many gift decisions and now the PED admission. In this case both apply - PEDs and a robbery win in the same fight? Sturm just needs to go.

Looking forward this is a good thing - with Chudinov apparently willing to travel and no obvious barriers between promoter Hyrunov and the US promoters of the other SMW champs the potential is certainly there for unification between the major titles at 168.

Myself I think Zurdo might be a step to far for Fedor, but Ramirez is not massively proven himself and it is a fight that should happen, as should Degale - Jack (or any combination of the four titlists). TBH the vacumn left at 168 with the departure of Ward and Froch has left the division wide open with no real front runner and a couple of unification bouts or even another S6 style tourney are needed to bring some order back to the weightclass.

Chudinov is a small SMW, really should be at MW and his brother Dmitry looks like he should be at JMW. But the winner of Rameriz/Chudinov vs the winner of DeGale/Jack would make for a good Golovkin opponent.
