Comments Thread For: Lomachecko: I Don't Feel Any Pressure To Make History

The intention for Vasyl Lomechenko prior to his pro debut in Oct. '13 was to make a lot of boxing history in a short amount of time. It's why he fought for his first major title in his second pro bout, claimed a belt in his third pro fight and now looks to once again set records.

The abundance of titles certainly allows for a lot of 'history' to be made

There is no point in moving up to 135 too soon.
Lomachenko is fortunate to be in a good Featherweight and Super Featherweight era. It would be a shame if he doesn't try to clean up the divisions, that would be more historic than winning a title in his third weight class in the least amount of fights.
If 126 and 130 were weak divisions I would say why not try it, but these are two of the best divisions in boxing and are right next to each other.

There is still lots to do in both divisions.
Hopefully Loma can start fighting three times a year. He can still fight three times this year (June, August/September, December), of course it depends how the fights go. Can't overlook anyone.

I hope he can still make 126, with the news that Arum and Haymon may start doing business, imagine the possibilities for Lomachenko vs Haymons stable at that weight!!

So Rigo couldn't move up 4 measly pounds and hasn't had a significant fight since Donaire over 3 years ago

4 biggest hype jobs in boxing:

                    1. Crawford
                    2. Ward
                    3. Rigo
                    4. Lara
