Sad day in boxing. Not sure about other countries, but this decision will kill amateur boxing in the US. How in the heck can a professional qualify to be on the Olympic team, particularly in the US, if they do not participate in Olympic trial qualifications? Does this mean simply being a professional qualifies you?
This is nuts. If this rule sticks, US Amateur Boxing will be dead. Amateurs will have no incentive to want to compete on national level simply because professionals will always have first consideration.

Whoever these political arse holes who are making these decisions should be fired.

I didn't hear the English campaigning when south Africans come over to England, gain a work via, then a nationality and start representing England in cricket. Or the Irish.

The only problem here is Khans skin colour and religion stand out and that angers the white folk.
