Sad day in boxing. Not sure about other countries, but this decision will kill amateur boxing in the US. How in the heck can a professional qualify to be on the Olympic team, particularly in the US, if they do not participate in Olympic trial qualifications? Does this mean simply being a professional qualifies you?
This is nuts. If this rule sticks, US Amateur Boxing will be dead. Amateurs will have no incentive to want to compete on national level simply because professionals will always have first consideration.

Whoever these political arse holes who are making these decisions should be fired.

I didn't hear the English campaigning when south Africans come over to England, gain a work via, then a nationality and start representing England in cricket. Or the Irish.

The only problem here is Khans skin colour and religion stand out and that angers the white folk.
Listen dafty Khan isn't disliked because of his religion or skin colour

It's not gonna anger any 'white folk' if amir fights for Pakistan . Most will welcome it

But he's still like it or not flip flopping he's nationality to gain the limelight

                I couldn't give to sheets for cricket it's a s**t sport

You can speak for yourself, but for everyone you can't.

Khan and indeed his fans who are presumed to be Asian or ****** do get racism.

You already see a few threads and comments about him being a traitor etc,and we are seeing the nicer wording here I suspect.

This is not a good decision, to either fight at the Olympics and/or change country, he was in Pakistan at the time so I reckon that may have influenced him, or maybe not, doubt it happens!
