Egis Klimas, manager of WBO featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (5-1, 3KOs), has indicated that super featherweight contender Nicholas Walters (26-0-1, 21KOs) is pricing himself out and being unreasonable.

Loma actually offer 500000 for each person and 350000 goes to the winner and walters still didn't take that offer. I don't think he's planning on winning because I see no reason why he wouldn't take that offer.

"Because maybe I'll have more money," said Arum.

      Interesting.

Then get it done Arum!!! I can't be too harsh on him though, after all he is the only one this year giving us a match where the best fight the best in Crawford/Postol. If he also gets Loma/Walters done it will be icing on the cake.

So Arum admits that Walters' demands weren't out of line. He simply couldn't get HBO to open their wallet for that fight.

Loma accepted most of Walters demands and him and his fans still want him to take more of the money? Couldn't Loma at least have that. (The last time Loma let a fighter have it his way, Salido the Cheater, look what happened. And nobody wants to remember that.) He accepted everything else. Walters' date, his weight and it's not like it's for a belt.
Also, there are several fighters making 1 million+ per fight, but of course it's a problem when Loma makes 800,000.

Maybe Top Rank should try to get Walters a fight? That wouldn't be a bad idea, would it? If Walters wants to make some good money then him and Loma have to stay relevant.
They could have easily put Walters on the Crawford-Postol undercard but they didn't. Well, I guess they wanted to target the Hispanic market. Walters is a fun fighter to watch and it wouldn't make sense for them to not try to give him a TV spot.
Walters is a good investment imo. Not only a fight with Loma, even if he loses to Loma (which he will), he can still fight guys like Verdejo (who wants to move down to 130 or I can see Walters at 135 one day), Rodriguez, and Oscar Valdez.
No,no,no Lomachenko should have to vacate his belt, move up in weight and take less money to face Walters for a non title fight because.... reasons.

Call me crazy but I actually don't think Walter's wants this fight. As good as he is I think he sees Loma as too big of a threat or else this fight would have been made already. I really like both of these guys. Walter's fan before I knew of Loma so I have no bias to either and would love to see this fight. I don't know who I would pick quite yet. Loma is looking like a young phenom and has more tools than Walter's but Walter's has the bigger and heavier tools. That power can keep people modest and force a change of game plan quick!

I was trying to think of a PPV fight that could possibly give Arum enough money to make up the difference for what Walters wants...all I could of think was a Pac fight but then saw the articles about Cotto-JMM, forgot about that one.
