The WBC postponed the fight to investigate but explicitly said it's not cancelled/off until further decisions are made.

Some levels of meldonium are still exempt after March 1st. If Povetkin's levels are 70 nanograms then under WADA he is clean -- never tested dirty.

Really you guys don't know how obvious it is you're just repeating other NSB posts...
    1. The fight did not happen on May 21st and is not currently scheduled for a future date. As such it is called off. The use of the word postponed is simply a legal maneuver by the WBC to keep the purse intact.

    2. You're right about the March 1st date and the 1 microgram limit. However, think about this, if Povetkin was at .07 micrograms, and that is considered acceptable by VADA/WADA, why didn't the fight happen? Likely because of the previous clean tests and the possibility of meldonium use and an unknown masking agent.

Your bias is evident in the way you responded to me. Whatever happened to boxing fans instead of fans of boxers.

Povetkin's alleged detection is wayyyyy below both of those, 0.07~, barely detectable trace amounts with no physiological effect

He's clean according to WADA so some major new information would have to be revealed for Wilder to get out of the fight. They'd have to come back and say the B-sample was 100 millilitres and part of a PED ****tail or something.
The exemption was for testing prior March 1. His was in April and after 3 clean ones in April. He doped and got caught. It happens and hes a fool.

Nope. Wrong. There are exemptions for both before and after March. The post March 1 levels are just lower. If Povetkin's level is 70 nanograms he is below both levels.

So what does the 3 clean tests prior to the low level test indicate? Is there any scientific evidence that this stuff goes dormant or that the test is inaccurate? Seems to me if it were as simple as a test result below the post March 1st limit, the fight would not have been "postponed". For all I have read, VADA sent notices that the drug test was "failed". Why send notices if the test results were within tolerance?

Unless we now the exact type and setting of each test it's impossible to make a scientific conclusion on this.

If the clean tests in April were bloods and the positive was urine and it's trace amounts then it's likely it's from last year.

If the clean tests were ELISA and the positive was mass spec which it would have to be if it's given an amount then you could run the old tests on a very high specificity mass spec and you would probably get something show up.

If it's bloods v urine you can't really make a definitive call with the current info there is on melodium testing.

I find it highly unlikely that he would have stopped taking it from September to March, then taken a tiny amount and then stopped taking it but you never know.

With all the info it won't be hard for scientists to figure out the most likely scenario. So just wait for that.

Are you psychic? They haven't made a ruling yet

If his levels are 70 nanograms than this is a transitional ban and he's within the permitted threshold

It will be very shady if they make a last minute "modification" to widely accepted WADA standards and decide he cheated

I know from reading enough of your posts that you stroke it to deontay fair enough but I'm not even talking about the fighters or their aesthetics here. I'm clarifying all the false info going around. Interpret it how you will.

If his levels were within a permitted threshold, why did they term it a failed test that prompted testing of the "B" sample? Why would the fight be postponed for an occurrence that VADA/WADA deems acceptable?

Levels detected were within legal limits but since they didn't appear on previous tests they wanted to make sure he hadn't just taken it. Fight was postponed for B-sample.

I don't know if the levels on the B-sample are the same. I know the meldonium was again detected but not the levels. If they still sub-1 mg/ml then Povetkin should fall into both the pre- and post-March 1st exemptions and considered clean. If they increased then they would rule against him and say he just took it.

That's all that's happened so far. Everything else people are saying is forum BS. Thus far nobody is considered dirty or suspended and the fight isn't even "cancelled".
