The fight will happen september. Canelos is not a coward and im betting on GGG. They had all planned out for september instead of May. Canelos has fought though oppents to doubt his courage. Until GGG or Canelo announce their next fight we can say Canelo is a DUCK.

Arum is just jealous because his promotion is on the back burner looking for their next Superstar. He has no fighter that can make a big splash like Canelo hopefully Terence Crawford will.
It's getting old hearing media and fans take shots at Canelo when we don't know what his next move is.
Also why isn't anyone from Golden Boy saying anything to the media? Whether it be Hopkins, De La Hoya, Gomez, or Diaz? It's like they have been told to keep quiet for some reason.

Arum's right.
The smart thing for Canelo to have done would've been to give a plausible excuse to delay the fight that the vast majority of people couldn't knock him for. Given Canelo's history of taking on the best, he could've gotten a pass from fans (incl. Mexicans) and squeezed out another 1-2 160 opponents. Like Lemieux, an in house fight on which GBP would've taken double-commission.
Meanwhile Golovkin gets another year older and another couple of fights older while he waits for the diva.
Then Bob would've said, well we only had 1 fight to adjust to 160, we'd like a couple more but we wanna give it to the fans now—how about we do it at a 157 catchweight? (in the middle so that people say, "OK that's fair" but enough to drain GGG a bit.
Arum is the master of the dark arts. He'll give you the fights you want to see but the devil is always in the details and however the game is slanted, it's almost always slanted in favor of his man.

Yeah, he would of just kept Canelo on the shelf and forced him to be owned. Sounds like Chavez Jr. And GGG??? Both signed ready to roll and Bob swooped in to FKU sht up. Demanding and extension and changing contracts at the very last second.
