Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor could be very dangerous for boxing

when Mayweather posted a photo of a fight promo poster between the two legends of boxing and MMA on his Instagram. However, there was no date mentioned on it. The very next day McGregor responded by tweeting ‘1-0’. Suggesting the outcome of that fight and how he sees it.

I just see it as sad that mayweather is pushing for this fight. Of course mayweather is the a-side but him chasing a guy that isn't even a boxer makes him look lame.

Floyd knows his fight with manny bombed entertainment wise so he now has to resort to this.

I think this fight is a great idea. I don't want to see Mayweather risking his record at this age, he deserves win #50 and this is a good way to do it moneywise.

Roach has interviews where is clearly downplaying the beat downs he's (Conor) getting in the gym lol. He had to pause and go "he's....not doing too well"

Floyd asked him to train Mcgregor and Roach said he'd need at least 3 years to make something out of him lol. Floyd will make Mcgregor look the same way he'll make all of us in this thread look.

McGregor isn't a boxer so it shouldn't even count as Mayweather's 50th win any more than Mayweather beating Big Show. Marciano set the record by beating high quality boxers. His respected, long standing record shouldn't be broken by a side show type fight that Mayweather can't possibly lose. Mayweather would be taking zero risk so he would deserve zero reward regardless of how old he is or how much you love him. This fight is a terrible idea and I am reasonably sure it won't happen although it could possibly happen.

Marciano's best win was an old and shot Louis who himself had no impressive wins on his resume. Mayweather got a much better resume.
