He respects Haye. I don't believe for a second he believes he can defeat Haye, but a fight at Goodison park against Haye would make him a rich man and sadly that is what drives most fighters these days, chasing the money fights.

If Haye does actually accept, I can't defend him. If Haye actually drops weight instead of being completely focused on climbing the HW rankings and winning the HW title, then I would join you (and others) in having little respect for Haye.

And do you respect him for going after Briggs?

Bellew's right, not only is it not fair that the Bermondsey B*tch (I don't dislike Haye but that is a solid nickname) gets paid a ridiculous amount to fight scrubs but it is an embarrassment to the sport as well. But Haye beating up a former LHW won't help matters, paper WBC title or not.

Briggs is just another warm up fight, a fight to help Haye rebuild and complete another full training camp. That's all.

However once he floors Briggs, something has to give, Haye has to either talk his way into a HW title fight, or he has to face someone like Dillian Whyte.

He can't continue to face extremely low quality fighters after the Briggs fight, if he's serious about regaining the HW title, as while I know he could face fighters like Briggs for another year and still beat Joshua/Fury, Haye has to regain some credibility and that will only happen if he chooses more risky opponents.

Haye talking about punishing people who mouth off, oh the irony...

Another quick knock out for Haye's highlights reel.
