Give credit where its due though. He had to win the world title from a man who was 19-1 (loss was from debut, like Hopkins) with 18 knockouts.. a 200lb KO machine. Whilst Kovalev is a better 'p4p' fighter, I think the risk was equal if not higher. Same for Lebedev, that guy can seriously hurt most fighters. Ramirez was the only weak link in the chain, and he never seemed to gun for him specifically, just any world title shot.
Belles went up 25 pounds

I don't see Bellew having any chance against Kovalev at light heavy because he can't out gun him or out box him. But fair play to him he's knocked out a guy tonight that many thought would have him out on his back and despite the knockdown he looked impressive doing it.Give credit where its due though. GGG is about to make history, beat BHops record, unify all the belts, has a ton of possible opponents at 160 and some ******s want him to move up where there are no fights for him.
How some people ca be so jealous and pathetic is beyond me.Comment

An intelligent boxer fights at the weight he is most comfortable at and fights the best at. That doesn't make them a coward. That is utter nonsense and ******ity. A boxer who moves up to a weight that is too big for him is a fool asking to get beat. You clearly hate ggg and are using this bs about him not moving up in weight as an excuse to trash him. If not moving up from their natural weight class makes a boxer a coward then hagler, monzon, pryor, zale, graziano, and all the other great champions who never moved up are cowards by your logic. Coward is a poor word to discribe a man who fights for a living. A champion who refused to fight the best fighters in his weight class would not be a good champion. Ggg will gladly fight the best middleweights in the world even if many of them refuse to fight him. He is also a vastly superior fighter than bellew.Comment

This!!
Bellew was a heavyweight in the amateurs aswell if I'm not mistaken. Bellew didn't exactly set the world alight at LHW and moved up because he couldn't make weight without difficulty and he was outclassed by Stevenson. He had no realistic hope of succeeding in the division.
I know pro-GGG fans can be annoying but fighting their ******ity with even greater ******ity is hardly productive OP.

Wow!
This is a terrible thread on so many levels.
You obviously have no understanding of these fighters or their circumstances.Comment
