there's a reason for the saying, "great white hope," even doe I don't agree with it either.

notice how 160 turns into a race thread? smh

hence #18 ranked Monroe Jr. because...

"we chose Monroe Jr. because he is known...who knows Lara?....Monroe Jr. is a good challenge to us because we can prove Golovkin is the best...(referring to that Southpaw work) and not mentioning Andy Lee or Korobov in any context as they were ranked in top 10 at the time... supposedly the original Lee bout cancelled yet nobody ever spoke about it again, even when Lee became WBO champion...

Wade was the alternative to the initial mandatory, Johnson. "Wade.."

Yet we talk about Lara, a guy that Sullivan Barrera called out at a 164 catch...

seriously, the industry rogue protocol to protect Golovkin is getting old, just like his age.

Monroe is a zero draw like Lara, but at least he doesn't turn viewers away. Oh and he wants 10-20x less in purse money

the problem is people justifying Monroe Jr. at Lara's skill level, even when Monroe Jr. on youtube and on record for stating (as well as Quillin), that they like Lara and his Cuban style. coincidently Monroe Jr. and Quillin are Cuban-American.

regarding purses, again, until a bonafide industry writer puts something out regarding actual purse requests instead of NSB rumours to protect another fighter, until then can we debate about monies.

            10-20x is in the ballpark.

technically, considering Golovkin's resume, and the fact that he has fought 154 fighters, it's IDEAL for Golovkin to take the fight. hence, technically.

denying Lara purses in an actual negotiation is one thing... to AT LEAST start, but in all practicality why would K2 risk it?

apparently boxing fan purists aren't important to K2 or Sanchez.

              spooked for that investment.

He fought a 154er 3.5 years ago on an undercard with a combined sub 500k budget. Lara is not ideal, thats Canelo if he'd sacked up. Then Saunders, Jacobs. then Eubank, Zurdo, then Lara. But he could always go mando and be #1 option, or better yet beat Saunders or Jacobs for a guaranteed shot and a purse closer to what he wants.

In the context of WEIGHT fiasco journalism for GGG vs Alvarez, Floyd, or Ward, but no LARA!?

Seems like many industry are carefully taming THIS particular WEIGHT context.

                  Don't be skurrrred!
Where are all the stories titled: "Luis DeCubas Jr contacts K2 about Golovkin vs Lara"?

                  Where are all those stories?
                  Why don't they exist?
                  I know why lol

A win over Lara would definitely bolster Triple G's resume. IMO Lara is undefeated. I'm not sure who wins that fight.

I don't understand why You brought up pac? I was talking about Tim Bradley! Bradley is loved by all and pro black fans don't like that. They want society to hate black fighters so that they can play victim.
