I think the bottom line is no matter who you want to blame, either GayLoveKins people are not making fair offers or are not looking elsewhere if their offers are turned down (assuming they're fair). They are going to have to accept that doing good numbers on hbo is great, but if you can't pull in more than 125k buys with Gonzalez on the card, you're not a draw. Floyd, Manny, Cotto, Alvarez, etc have all been on the B side of a fight, understood that, took the risk, and it paid off. So, who was to blame in the Canhellno GayLoveKin fiasco? Both! One side needed to understand they simply are in no position to call any shots, but 155 lbs isn't a division and making up your own just shows a certain amount of apprehension to move up 5 more lbs. The other side shot themselves in the foot years ago by make the 54-68 claim, they have done neither and had at least 2 fights on the table with Froch also claiming that 164 was offered to them, though that can't be verified, so perhaps that's even 3 money fights lost. Now they have the belt (which I don't believe this has all been about a belt), so what now? Ok, maybe the Saunders or Jacobs fights might materialize. So why not just go ahead and fight Lara? Everyone here seems confident he would be soundly beaten, fight him in September and at least add an A level fighter to your resume right? Chavez may bring money, but once again B side.
