Did you read the article? Mayweather had a limited time to buy out his contract and Arum had no intention of making a DLH fight. Mayweather bought himself out to make the DLH fight. Look at the guarantees Arum was offering compared to what Mayweather would go on to make.

I still don't get why the GG-hating community don't want this fight. I repeat, a 154lb GG is a zombie. He'll regret taking the fight for the rest of his life just like Hoya taking Pac at 147. If you want to consummate the hate on GG this is the fight to make.

I'd call Sanchez bluff if I were Mayweather, see how he would react. (I'd prefer GG taking Lara, though.)
