I think everything after 135 was out of choice rather than necessity, I think he could have stayed at 135 for a while, he looked fantastic there.

Really , a guy that is 152 pound with 6% body fat wouldnt be struggling to make 135 only 6mths earlier would he .

The size difference is what everyone is talking about. Manny is mature. He’s a much bigger person than he used to be. He’s not that skinny, 112-pound kid anymore. He weighs 152 pounds right now [a few weeks before the fight]. His body fat is six percent. He’s coming down to 147, not going up. He’s coming down, just like Oscar is. The biggest thing is, when someone goes up a weight class and fights and then comes back down to his original weight class, he usually has bad results. You see it in history. It happened to Roy Jones [who went from light heavyweight to heavyweight and back down]. Oscar will suffer to make 147; and I think he’ll be weaker as a result. I don’t think the bigger guy will be the stronger guy on Dec. 6. He’ll be taller, maybe a little heavier, but not stronger. Manny will be the bigger puncher, the faster puncher, the busier guy. Activity is my biggest thing. And Manny is better prepared for that. We fought four times this year. Oscar hasn’t fought four times in four years. I think speed and activity wins this fight, not size.

Whats this have to do with Vada?

I don't get what people obsession with moving up is.

You know why guys move up? Because they starve themselves and boil down to weights they should never have been fighting at in the first place. They can get away with it when they are young, then as they get older they cant do it anymore.

Name me fighters that have moved up after 34 years old?

Floyd didn't. He maxxed out 154 at 29.

The only two guys that really moved up big and worked on moving up way above their natural weight were Roy Jones, and Pacquiao. Everyone else just drifted up to their natural weight.

Floyd. Oscar, Broner, now Ward is drifting up to his natural weight... you know he won his olympic medal at 178lb...

Yet here is GGG who is weighing in on fight night the same as Super Welterweights but he has to move up when he hasn't even accomplished what he wants to in the division yet?
Pavlik had trouble making 160 really? That's why after the Hopkins fight he went back to 160

And he got schooled like the robotic boxer he was. Weight classes don't make a fighter, they just prove how much a fighterr can drain. Broner is a multiple division champion, but he was nothing compared to a guy like Hagler.
