Eubank is too flat footed to take advantage of 'slow' Golovkin. He lacks lateral movement and is front heavy. He would be a good style matchup for Golovkin. The question will be whether or not he can take Golovkin's power over the course of a fight. I don't think he's capable. He'll start quick and then likely fade as the fight progresses.

Noticed among all the Eubank commotion, Saunders name hasn't come up yet & then saw your comment.. Frank Wareen gave an interview recently & said Eubank wont be GGG blah blah.. but never did he sound confident of his own guy Saunders actually fighting & beating GGG. Something tells me Saunders fight ain't happening this year irrespective of the Canelo deal outcome..

so IF Jacobs is fighting Mora then the only 2 options left would be Lara/Eubank Jr. at MW limit.

Eubank gets cute early in the first letting his hands go and looks impressive for a few seconds. That's when he tastes GGG's power for the first time, then he switches to survival mode for a few rounds while he gets hunted down. GGG wins by KO in rds 6-8.

There is a case for the Eubank chin to carry him through a few rounds but his power and punch variety is not on the same level. Golovkin is always solidly grounded and punching from the core whereas Jr. is often unbalanced after throwing hard shots. He can be tricky to hit at times though. I would like to see the fight and reckon Jr. could impress for as long as it lasts and maybe even go the distance.

Eubank could beat him, no doubt about that. Probably the only true MW that can.

Everybody has the answer but nobody can make it happen. This is GGG's time. Nobody under 168 aside from Ward can touch him as far as I'm concerned, and Ward has moved up.
