does seem like fighters are getting tired of hbo little by little. showtime can succeed but they have to be consistent in making fights to keep their subscriber numbers up. they will never have as many subscribers as hbo but long they consistent boxing fans will subscribe. showtime was on a roll there for awhile but then went dormant but now they back with a huge **** and i think the ratings will continue to gradually rise.

Its obvious showtime is not going to stop with the lineup they have now either and will keep pumping them out year round

HBO paid double for Matthysse vs. Provodnikov than what they offered for Walters vs. Lomanchenko

Crawford's next fight is on PPV and his first option was Ruslan but he left for Showtime and HBO didn't offer him a deal.

Zurdo is about to fight on his second PPV in a row. The first one didn't sell well and this one will do worse. How is Bob going to get this guy exposure without an HBO date?

Thompson vs. Ortiz got made on HBO and they're just waiting on an HBO date for Ortiz vs. Ustinov.

I think it's pretty obvious Golden Boy is HBO's favorite. Top Rank is getting the leftovers.

Poor ruslan. I hope he gets paid well for the beatings hes gonna get and then retires. I got a weird feeling his fight might do lower ratings than the lara-vanes fight which would be unfortunate for him.

Glad to see he's back fighting on TV. Although I'm really not a big fan of brawlers, I must admit they can be entertaining to watch.

Be that as it may, I'm against fighters signing exclusive deals to a particular network. I feel this is a big reason why a lot of fights don't get made. If only the face of boxing (whoever that may be) was exclusive to a network, I'm good with that. With all other fighters not being exclusive to a network, the networks would be forced into bidding wars for these high demand fights. With so much money to be made off the televised rights alone I believe promoters would be more willing to risk theirs cash cows against each other. In essence it would be bad business not to. IMO
