For all intended purposes GBP is still negotiating a 3xG fight....everyone is hating on Nelo saying he is yella and dropped the belt NOT to face him.....

but IF he still goes through and fights him........regardless of the outcome......would you apologize to Nelo for calling him a coward???

Yes he'd get my respeck! But I'm one of the few who thinks Canelo has a chance against him at 160. I've yet to see how Golovkin reacts to a top level boxer. Canelo fights good at close quarters and that's not Golovkin's strong point. Canelo's hand speed and defense is underrated. He's slow on his feet but I don't think he'll have to chase Golovkin around. I think Golovkin will bring the fight to him and that' Canelo's strong point.

He would win some of it back but fighting Khan at 155 then the way he's handled this situation so far is going to take more than 1 fight for me to rate him him like some of his fans.

Definitely in a heat beat. GGG and Canelo would be great.

              Of course he does

He can even maintain wider appeal. Go up to 160 and fight GGG and lose. If that happens, he can drop to 154 and claim he was trying to be great, he wasn't a proper middleweight anyway.

He would get some of my respect back for taking the fight. If it's at anything lower than 158, then he gets nothing from me.

However he absolutely deserves the ****storm that he's receiving right now. The way he's acted in his career is a disgrace.

-He knew about the deadline for negotiations, yet still wanted to keep the belt. Should have dropped the damn thing earlier and saved everyone all the drama.
-He needs to stop with the catchweights. There is no caneloweight division.
-If you want to be known as a mexican warrior, you better stop talking about 'business this and business that'.
-He needs to drop the whole 'I got taken advantage of by Floyd and now I can do it to others'. Get that bull**** out of here. He was a 23 year old kid when he 'went down' 2 lbs for Floyd.
-He keeps saying 'I always took fights noone wanted to take'. No he didn't. The only fight that MAY qualify for that statement is Lara. Everything else has been about business and money.
-He always has the advantage. Canelo has NEVER been outweighed by his opponent. People want to give Andre Ward crap for taking so long to move up, or give Golovkin crap for not moving up.. but at least they've definitely fought guys bigger than them. Canelo has consistently picked on the smaller opponents. I'm not talking about last year. I'm talking about the CAREER.

I don't see the move he made as worthy of respect. So while I respect anyone who gets into the ring there are still levels to that respect that can go up & down based on various things that happen like this specific belt dropping situation. That said if he'd have fought GGG & won or loss it wouldn't have changed my level of respect for him or GGG. These guys are warriors who put their life on the line in any given fight to a greater degree than most people ever do & deserve a minimal level of respect whatever things I disapprove of as a fan.
