Of course Canelo still has fans. Most have already said there piece on this and there is no new information. Negotiations are still on going according to K2 but they are on hold till the canelo trial is over at which point they will resume. In the meantime nothing that has happened has hurt Canelo as much as idiots on these boards like to think. Only fools think overnight Canelo will go from the biggest draw of any active boxer today to having fights where nobody shows up and nobody buys his ppvs. Sorry it don't work like that. And damn sure not because of trolls are bashing him today. Need evidence to this? Look no further then Floyd. Nobody and I mean nobody was killed more on social media then he was over the 5 years where him and Manny could not agree to fight. The narrative has changed since he won but during that time he was assigned the vast majority of the blame and scorn from fans and media. Yet none of this effected his money or caused him to lose his core fanbase.

you can pull the trigger now if you want, but i have seen many call canelo a coward before and end it up looking like ******s when canelo took the fights, just try to go back at the threads when Trout easily outboxed cotto and called out canelo "quiero canelo", or when lara did his thing at the press conference, posters didnt hesitate to inmediatly call canelo a coward... this isnt something new here and will continue to happen even after he fights ggg...
there are things canelo did wrong and i wont defend(only the fanboys will do it) , he is far from perfect as a boxer and as a person... but it is what it is...
Exactly. Cotto was roasted all last year blamed multiple times for not being able to agree to fight Canelo and for refusing to fight his mandatory in GGG, for enforcing a catchweight on middleweights and then ultimately vacated the same damn belt Canelo did. Yet none of it effected Cotto's money and fanbase. Same fools who think trolls online matter are the ones who said look at all the posts on these message boards and tweets about GGG's fight with Lemieux and expected big PPVs because of it. Can't tell you how many times I heard GGG fans here tell me how big the buzz was for that fight leading up. Yet it did only 150K PPVs. 95% of the crap online we bytch about here has zero effect on these fighters in real life. When there is new information on GGG negotiations or Canelo's next fight is announced a lot of people will look like idiots.

I liked canelo as a fighter, but lost all respect for him. He ducked and acted like the biggest pu$$Y in the sport.

            agree with this.

the average/casual fan probably doesn't even know that he vacated the title.

What's the point of this thread?

Funny how you post a picture of Canelo after losing to Mayweather. You know, the fight where Canelo went down to 152 to defend his 154 titles in a big-money fight.

Anyway, Canelo and GGG fan checking in.

I think Canelo knows that this fight has to happen at some point or he's never going to live it down. He's got people who were fans, abandoning ship over this.

you are right on this, if canelos rep took a hit, it will be only among the hardcore fanbase which is almost non-existent, outside these forums most fans dont know about mandatories, CWs, rehydration, heck most of the times they dont even know if they are champions, a lot of people thought canelo was the champion when he fought angulo, lara and kirkland...

I don't think it's Canelo at all. I believe he probably feels like he can 100% beat Triple G.
