Comments Thread For: Mike Tyson: You Can't Call Tyson Fury a Bum After Klitschko Win

Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson says he is a big fan of his namesake Tyson Fury. American Tyson admits he does not follow boxing closely nowadays but he was impressed by the Briton's victory over Wladimir Klitshcko last year. Fury, who is set to defend his WBA Super, IBO and WBO heavyweight crowns in a rematch with Klitschko in July, has caused controversy with some of his comments outside the ring, but Tyson does not mind that.

I agree. I've never thought highly of Fury, and personally gave him no shot to beat Klitschko, but he clearly won. Regardless of any excuses you want to make for Wlad (I made my fair share ), you have to give Fury credit for going in there and getting the W. Everyone in the heavyweight division knows to take him seriously.

Damn straight... A bum wouldn't have gotten into the ring. Aside from that a bum wouldn't have won the championship either. Give the man his due.

Respect for Tyson showing respect to Wladimir and Fury. Also he said Wladimir is the greatest fighter ( assuming heavyweight ) in the last 15 years. Lewis was still fighting then. Great compliment either way.

I picked Fury to win that fight on here before it happened. Just because of the way Fury had far outclassed his recent opponents - changing stance, not getting hit etc. He's not a hard puncher and he doesn't have a good chin, so it was obvious he had some skill. Couldn't understand why no one else gave him a chance?

Having said that Fury doesn't seem in the right mind-set this time round and if he loses. People (and me) are going to say: Who was fury's best win apart from Wlad? Answer: Derek Chisora. He'll go back to the bum people thought he was.

                  Lmao gtfoh

We'll see how he does against Klitschko in the rematch.. remember this, he beat a man who struggled verse Jennings. He beat a man who LITERALLY didn't throw JACK ****. He beat a man who's 40 and has been declining fast lately.

If Fury doesn't win impressively in the rematch, he's a fcking tool.
